Speech and Language Therapy and Evaluations

Speech and language therapy sessions are designed to meet the individual needs of the child and incorporate evidence-based teaching strategies to maximize progress.  In-office, home-based, school-based, and teletherapy appointments are available.  Treatment may address a variety of speech and language disorders including:

  • articulation

  • expressive and receptive language

  • social skills

  • stuttering/fluency

  • cognitive impairments

  • autism spectrum disorders

  • reading, spelling, and written language difficulties

Comprehensive Evaluations

New clients are typically evaluated at the start of therapy to determine individual strengths and weaknesses and to diagnose speech and language disorders.  Our evaluations look at the whole child and include formal, standardized assessments, play-based observations (if appropriate), conversational language samples, background information, and family input.
